AGARATLA, Feb 12 (TIWN) : With the ADC VC Election has come closer, Tripura CM coming out everyday of his Civil Secretariat to urge votes from the village people.
CM in this drive is covering the all ADC areas from South Tripura to North Tripura and on Thursday he met the public of Dhamchara, Dharmanagar.
“Everybody knows how the IPFT had captured the TTAADC elections in 2000. It had rigged the entire election process at the gun point”, said CM. Calling upon people to vote for Left Front candidates in the by-election and VC elections, the Chief Minister said that only the Left Front could safeguard the common people’s interest.
On the one hand whereas state is suffering from rape, murder, kidnapping cases ; political leaders are full concerned about the election ahead and their full focus is about how to win the election massively.
However, all the necessary measures have been taken to successfully accomplish the Feb 24th village committee election. After the Municipal election had been own by CPI-M successfully, where CM took a major share in election campaign, in this ADC election too, CM using the same technique to woo the votes of the common people.
It’s to be mentioned here that CPM has already owned the 1 fourth of the ADC Election as in many places nobody submitted nomination papers except CPM.
CPM is already leading in ADC areas before election and already occupied many seats without contest. The constituencies where no party had submitted nomination form except CPM are: Kalyanpur where among 51 seats 15 occupied by CPM. At Kamalpur, Shimbukchak under Salema Block, Durgachowmuhani Block, and West Lambucharra no candidate submitted nomination papers except CPM. In Belonia also 3 seats are occupied by CPM without any contest Rupaichari blocks. Due to the inactiveness of the opposition parties CPM is easily occupying the ADC areas and other rural areas.
