AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Political parties where gearing up to contest for the upcoming Village Committee, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee failed to place nomination paper in various area.

Talking to TIWN correspondent, Tripura Pradesh Congress President Birajit Sinha said that due to the failure of local leaders of the area the party has failed to place any nomination paper in various parts of the state.

It is to be mentioned here that for the upcoming village committee election altogether only 601 nominees have placed their nomination. Compare to TPCC, CPM has a total of 3, 655 candidates.

Reportedly, for the upcoming village committee election Congress party has not submitted a single nomination paper at Kalyanpur.

It is to be mentioned here that among all the 51 seats in 7 villages of Kalyanpur Congress did not submit any nomination.

According to the reports, it is not only the condition of Kalyanpur but same situation is also reported from many other places.

Just before the ensuing Village Committee election the failure in the submission of the nomination paper has become shocking news for the Congress support and disappointment observed all over.

However, despite of taking several initiatives to make the party grab the seats of the village, at the time of placing nomination the committee could not submit the nomination paper due to the failure of local leaders of the area.

On the other hand, the ruling Government is participating at the election campaign in full-fledged manner for both the Amarpur bi-election and Village Committee Election.

The other political parties are observed are on scheduled to visit the interior area of the state along with Manu, Chawmanu, Ambassa, Amarpur, Salema, Ampi and to discuss about the preparation for the village committee election.

However, with the intentions to cleanly sweep the election, the ruling party has started full-fledged preparation regarding the selection of the candidates and other procedures for conducting the poll is underway.
