AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN) : Petrol, which is the necessity of today's life, lack of petrol disrupting daily lives of Tripura public due to its crisis across the state. “No petrol” sign has become as if a kind of terror for bike riders and other vehicle users.

On Wednesday, much crowd at a petrol pump at Agartala has resulted so much chaos that police had to take control over the situation.

If one day the petrol pumps supplies petrol, the consumers have to stand in long rows which not only gets hectic but also customers’ kills time. The long lines before the petrol pumps has become the common scenery here in state. However, the rest of the days the pumps hold the signboard of “No petrol”.

However, since many months the state is suffering from petrol crisis. The crisis is followed in all the 8 districts of the state. Resent public of Tripura has shown their agitation many times but for no use.

Moreover, in black market petrol is available in double price. Reportedly, many shop keepers are use to sell petrol illegally in double price, during the crisis time.

Criticism arises, whether in political campaigns, long-way of bike rallies are organized to propagate the political agenda, on the other hand the state’s common people suffer from crisis. According to the sources, recently, keeping ahead the ADC Election, CPM at Khowai arranged a 48 km long bike rally. But when it comes to the petrol pumps, the state has “No Petrol” at all.

More interestingly, the tragic scenery gets visible when the petrol price lowers. As soon the price increases, the petrol pumps start to supply petrol.

Allegedly, when the petrol price comes low, the customer have to give double as they then have no option except buying from black market.
