KALYANPUR (Khowai), Feb 11 (TIWN) : Khowai police in a drive on Wednesday, has captured many vehicles including big trucks and bullock carts which were found over loaded.
Reportedly, Khowai police was getting complaints via various police stations continuously about the movement of over-loaded vehicles.
However, on Wednesday police in a drive seized overloaded vehicles.
It’s on every Wednesday that vehicles transfer items by over loading the vehicles for the market day via Bagan Bazar road.
As a result, frequent accidents occur on that road.
Although at Kalyanpur many complaints were given by the public but Kalyanpur police didn’t bother to take any action.
At last when the matter went to the Khowai police, the Dist. police in a drive took that initiative and seized the vehicles as over-loaded trucks and others.
The drive was held at Girindrashil area, on the way from Teliamura to Khowai. Police under the invigilation of SP Haripad Das.
However, all together 25,000/- of amount has been gathered as fine by Khowai police on Wednesday.
Due to overloading, the driving license of a driver namely Khokon Deb, resident of Bhuwanban at Agartala has been seized by police.
