And for further unearthing of the issue, police would demand for remand as they were produced before the Court on wednesday. According to police sources, during primary investigation, police somewhat successful to unearth many sensational informations regarding their disguised and illegal stay at India. Those Bangladeshi citizens entered India through Benapol border illegally. And then they scattered in groups in different parts of India mainly the north-eastern states. Acting on tip-off from the special Branch on Tuesday morning, police alongwith the Special Branch conducted raid at the house of some Kartik Das at Halhali and nabbed four Bangladeshi citizens namely Shahidur Rahaman (32) of Goplagunj district, Kalu Khan (28) of Narail district, Soheil Sekh (28) of Gopalgunj district and Jinnat Sekh (28) of Goplagunj district of Bangladesh. Police also seized Bangladeshi SIM cards, Indian Voter I/card, Indian driving license and Indian PAN Cards from those smugglers.
They admitted their Bangladeshi identity to the police. Moreover, what remained contradictory to police was that, they used to buy materials for selling from Agartala and sold those materials in less than the buying value.
Now, being tenants in a foreign land why those persons would sell products with a loss and it’s too with a disguised identity remained the concern of the police. Further, they tried to misguide police about their rest of two companions.
