Tripura’s first flyover: Drilling work chokes traffic movement

AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): Aiming to end the construction work of the flyover on time, the construction agency has begun with drilling work at Battala near the shiv temple.

Reportedly, after completing piling work at the Battala area the agency has begun at Bordowali and drilling work has begun at the Battala near the shiv temple.

However, a section of city dwellers expects that the flyover would be blessing for the people living in Agratala city, as the pupils can never be on time in their office or school due to the tremendous traffic issue.

They said that mainly during the office hour people has to face harassment at the Battala junction as at that time maximum traffic has been observed.

Therefore, the main aim of the flyover is to seek the solution for maintaining the Traffic system in the city. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problems arise in traffic system too.

However, after having all this barriers in the political issued, finally the people of Tripura will soon get the first flyover Bridge connecting the Dropgate to the Fire service station into the city.

With the ongoing days, the construction of the fly-over work is underway in full swing from Battala to Drop gate area with the aim to complete the entire work by 30 months as fixed by the Tripura government.

On the other hand, with the passing days the traffic jam is rapidly increasing in the narrow roads of Tripura creating huge chaos every time due to the construction work of the flyover.

 Although the state government has taken the initiative to construct a flyover to curb the traffic jam but it is seen that traffic chaos is rising in an alarming rate.

It has been observed that every time a huge chaos is witnessed with vehicles blocking the road and creating harassment for the public who has been move for work daily.

Apart from the construction work of the fly-over, unruly attitude of CITU leaders is also responsible for leading to this traffic jam.

Day after day even after strict instruction of the department to commute passengers from the Nagerjala stand, the drivers still continues to load and unload passengers on the main road resulting traffic chaos in the city.

However, it is expected that with the completion of the flyover the daily traffic chaos will be curbed soon.
