KAMALPUR, Feb 7 (TIWN): Probably for the first time, the students of classical song at Kamalpur got an opportunity to enrich their knowledge as the three days’ long workshop inaugurated at Bhattacharjee Para Samaj Siksha Kendra here at Kamalpur from this morning. And the opportunity became more significant as the renowned vocal artist cum guru of Classical song namely Nanigopal Chakraborty would conduct the workshop. The workshop got arranged by the local school Sangeet Sangstha.

At Kamalpur, the students of classical song not remained few. And they used to sing under the instructions of local teachers who remained no less experienced in the field. But the lack of practice under the guidance of expert in the field remained unattained till now. Although Nanigopal Chakraborty remained to be a son of Kamalpur, his busy schedules and lack of interests from the part of the local teachers to provide their students with best available opportunities, made him detached from the students here.

Ultimately, the local organization Sangeet Sangstha came forward with the initiative and arranged the workshop.  In this workshop Nanigopal Chakraborty would impart guidance and teachings to the students for three days up to Tuesday next. Huge number of students and their guardians gathered in the workshop to avail the opportunity.
