AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Though several initiatives have been taken to commence the stretcher service in the flights, the Aviation companies are least bothered to facilitate the people.

Despite of several initiatives taken to commence the regular stretcher service in the flights, the common mass are yet suffering due to the waiting period of 48-hour as to get the stretcher facility people had to book the flight before 48-hour.

As the train service is suspended for the Mega Block project, the common mass had to opt for flight service as there are no other ways to go out of the state rather to go for bus service through Bangladesh.

However, very less people opt for by road option as it takes long time to reach Kolkata and many are not comfortable to go for the journey by seating.

On the other hand, if any patients of middle class families were referred for the treatment outside the state the families are massively hit with the hike in air ticket range. Most of the time, the range goes out of the budget for the common people.

However, it gets impossible for the patients who prefer stretcher facility to go outside the State as on Air India provides the facility of stretcher in the State that two for once in a day.

That too the patient families had to book few days earlier. Now the question arises if any patients are referred on the very day that how will they visit to the referred hospital outside the state.

Reportedly, many patients had lost their life due to no stretcher facility on the very day.

When the Railway service has been suspended for the BG conversion work and the National Highway is in deplorable condition people in the state are facing problem to travel outside the state.

Though the willing people can use the by-road to go to Kolkata but problems arise with the people who are ill and some who do not have passports.

However, the patients are yet suffering after so far initiatives. With increase in the stretcher facility in the aviation service in the state many patients can be survived.
