VC Election: Political parties steps up with election campaign

UDAIPUR, Feb 5 (TIWN): Aiming to grab seats in the upcoming village committee election, all the political parties have geared up with the election campaign at Udaipur.

According to the reports, Dr. A. Choudhury has been selected as General Observer and at present located at Udaipur Circuit house.

Reportedly under Kakrabon block the political parties are campaigning at Mirza, Shamoksharae, Killa, Pitra and other areas.

Political parties are holding rallies and door to door campaigning, aiming to grab the seats at the village level.

It is to be mentioned here that CPM has begun the election campaign long back.

With just counting days left for the village committee poll which is slated to be held on February 24, candidates are enthusiastically participating door to door campaign with the aim to completely swift in the village committee election this year.

However, it has been mentioned any interested people can meet him from evening 5pm to 7pm to discuss about any election related issue.

As a part of the election, the political parties have continued their election campaign in all the interior parts of the state.

It is to be mentioned here that BJP is going to submit their nomination on February 5.

However, the Amarpur bi-election has been scheduled to conduct on February 13.

However, for the Amarpur bi-election Candidate selection is the process by which political parties decide who will be on the ballot paper as their recommended candidate. The way in which they make that choice is mainly determined by their own internal rules and procedures.

The Commission has decided that the voter’s identification shall be mandatory in the aforementioned bi- elections at the time of poll.

However, the Commission has decided to use EVMs in the Amarpur bi-election in all the polling stations of the State. Adequate numbers of EVMs have been made available and all steps have been taken to ensure that the polls are conducted smoothly with the help of these machines.
