SABROOM, Feb 4 (TIWN) : Beating the drum of the ensuing village committee poll, the already ahead CPI-M moved further ahead. And it happened as the CPI-M candidates filed their nomination papers with the BDO of Satchand RD Block today.
The filing of nomination process started from around 11 am. Contestants along with supporters started rallies from their respective villages. Those colourful rallies gathered at Kalacharra.
And there, a huge rally with all the candidates, from all village committees and party leadership roamed the entire area. The beating of drums, loud slogans made the trend of opposition-less village committees prominent once again. Then the aspirants filed their nominations with the Returning Officer cum BDO of Satchand RD Block.
After the rally, a street corner was arranged. In that street corner, MLA Pravat Chudrury,MDC Member Arun Tripura and other CPIM leaders discussed. During his discussion they expressed their hope and belief that, the leftists would grab an all out victory in the ensuing election.
None of the opposition parties could score out even a single ward in the election, they demanded. However, the open demonstration of muscle power in the rally by the party cadres chanting threatening slogans to make the opposition virtually nil created an atmosphere of terror in the commoners.
And this scenario already dashed the atmosphere of free and fair election to a great extent, according to the commoners.
