AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Just when counting days are left for the official beginning of the BG passenger’s railway service in the state by March 31 the workers are busy in fixing the signals along the newly converted BG railway tracks. It is to be mentioned here that railway signalling is a system used to direct railway traffic and keep trains clear of each other at all times. Trains move on fixed rails, making them uniquely susceptible to collision. This susceptibility is exacerbated by the enormous weight and inertia of a train, which make it difficult to quickly stop when encountering an obstacle. Most forms of train control involve movement authority being passed from those responsible for each section of a rail network to stationmaster and to the train crew.Eyeing forward to kick off the Broad Gauge (BG) conversion work from Badarpur to Agartala, workers are busy at Agartala railway station for completing the other efficient works important for running BG train without any fault Indian Railways connectivity in India’s north eastern region will get boost with the launch of the first ever broad gauge passenger trains to Tripura.Numbers of workers are engaged in the renovation work of the Agartala railway station.

The latest trend of work at Agartala railway station shows that days are not so far when people of Tripura can travel long distances in BG trains and get connected to rest of the part of the country.

With the aim to give a new look to the Agartala railway station along with BG conversion wok at Tripura, the workers has also taken up the work of renovation of the railway station at Badharghat.

Even though the authorities have focussed their attention in taking up the BG conversion works of the tracks for the time being, they are also concentrating on the ways to meet the future requirements of the platform to provide the best facilities to the people.

Improving connectivity in the landlocked northeast region is one of the top most priorities of the government. A lot of focus is being given to enhance railway connectivity in the region.

Tripura is reaping the peace dividends with rapid economic development and improving connectivity.

So far under the regime of left front Tripura has never witnessed such historical moment in the state. Apart from inaugurating buildings, market sheds and auditorium the left government has never taken any initiative to bring any revolution in the state.

Only due to the initiative of the central government it has become possible to boost the transportation and communication facility in the state. With the successful trial run of the BG train to Agartala railway station it has paved the way for the development of the transportation and connectivity in the state.
