AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Although months have passed by but the state government is completely mum over the issue of156 terminated RMSA workers.

A total of 156 laboratory assistants and computer operators recruited under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan RMSA were terminated from their job by the state government.

Instead of giving proper justification for their termination state government is busy in accusing the central government for this termination of 156 RMSA workers for fund paucity.

It is to be mentioned here that many families are dependent on the single income of this many RMSA employees but the sudden decision of the state government has drag those family in darkness. All the RMSA workers to raise voice against the decision of the state government and will demand justice for them. The workers are also determined to go on hunger strike on the coming days to press for their justice under the long regime of the CPI-M government. They further claim to commit suicide to press for their justice higher to the state government.

In 2010 -11 and 2011 -12, the state government appointed the 156 RMSA staff. It is open secret for people of the state how they were recruited. But now they have been terminated under inhuman condition blaming the centre.

Reportedly, the ruling Left Front government have terminated 156 non – teaching staff of Rashtirya Madhyamik Shiskha Abhyjaan (RMSA). A notice of their termination was issued to them by RMSA Mission Director P. Goyal. The notification stated that the centre have stopped funds for all the terminated non – teaching staffs. The left front government always claims that they will stand by them in future on time of crisis, but the termination of 156 lab assistant and LDC of RMSA sent a message to other centrally sponsored project that the left front government will not take any responsibility in case stopping of funds from the central.

Allegedly, the state government is solely responsible for the termination of non – teaching RMSA staffs.  Question rose that No staffs are terminated anywhere in the country, then why will the centre has terminated only those 156 workers in the state. Reportedly, the central government is sponsoring other states and are giving them regular pay structure by inducting them in education department, why such unfair treatment to the RMSA workers of Tripura. In neighbouring state Assam all temporary RMSA staff is regularized, whereas, state left government going against the tide have got them terminated.
