AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): NITI Aayog is a government of India policy think-tank established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to replace the Planning Commission and it started from January 1, 2015.For the first time, data from over 600 districts of India, across 51 crucial targets, made accessible by NITI Aayog. This will help in targeted implementation of government schemes in the districts of the Country and also will enhance the efficacy of development programmes. Now District wise Statistics were also under NITI Aayog for regular monitoring.

Recently Tripura’s Chief Ministers allege lack of grant to the state under NITI Ayog in different public meeting.
Tripura’s Urban Development minister Manik Dey alleged that the central government continued its role of deprivation towards Tripura. He said that just two months are left for the running financial year to end but still the state has not received a single rupee from the NITI Aayog.
He further added that in the last financial year the state had recieved Rs 2,300 crore rupees from the planning commission but after the formation of NITI Aayog, the state this financial year has not received any grant.
