AGARTALA, Jan 28 (TIWN): Section 144 imposed at Indo - Bangla Border area from Radhanagar BOP to Samarendra Nagar BOP in order to maintain the peaceful environment of the bordering areas under South Tripura District before Village Council Election.
According to the order more than four people would not be able to assemble from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. without permission of local administration.
The security forces deployed in Belonia Border area specially BSF, TSR and Assam Rifles (AR) were put on maximum alert by the Tripura police headquarters and the border patrolling has been increased in the unfenced border areas and some vulnerable spots in the Indo-Bangla border.
Movement at the area has been completely prohibited at that time without permission of SDM of Belonia/Sabroom subdivision.
However the order would not be applicable on police, security personnel and employees engaged in government service.
Legal action would be taken against the person according to Section 188 of IPC who would violet the order.
