KALYANPUR, Jan 27 (TIWN) : BJP called road blockade for hours at Kalaynapur, in demand to take action against the massive corruption held at Khowai Dist. under CPI-M regime.

The road blockade took place at Ghilatali Gopinath Chowmuhani on Wednesday morning. The road closed on the way from Kalyanpur to Ghilatali via Teliamura.

BJP had 5 charters of demands. Reportedly, BJP members’ blocking of that road for a long time had hit the common lives as it stopped vehicle movements for hours.

Reportedly, Bharatiya Janata Party  started the road blockade from 10 am on Wednesday.

BJP Khaowai President Harishankar Pal, Khowai Zilla Secretary Shambhu Biswash, BJP leader Manik Lal Debnath slammed the ruling govt. during their speeches.

BJP’s 5 point of demands were :

      1. To start investigation against the massive corruption held in IAY scheme,

       2. Investigation against the wrong treatment done with a 45 days child of Ghilatali,

       3. To stop corruption with BPL cards,

        4. To stop erosion of Khowai river,

        5. A man namely Gauranga Debnath’s home would be filled by soil. 

However, following the day-long protest held by BJP; BDO Subhra Gupta, DCM Ashish Biswash rushed to that place and took a control of the situation.
