State remembers Netaji on his 119th birth anniversary : NSV's colorful rally leads celebrations in Tripura

AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Alongwith the Nation, Tripura also celebrated the 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in various parts of the State on Saturday. To mark the celebration, like every year this year also Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan organized huge procession which had walked through the area of Post Office Choumuhani, Battala, Fire Service, Akhaura Road, Orient Choumuhani, Jackson Gate, Kamanchoumuhani, Netaji Corner also known as Maharajganj Bazaar, Netaji Choumuhani and finally ended at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan. Reportedly, altogether 26 demonstrations were displayed where six demonstration were from outside the State. The procession was displayed under the theme Save the Tiger and Education. However, the procession displayed the themes which include Parris Attack, avoid plastic, Uttarakand disaster, save the tiger, Swach Bharat Aviyan, avoid fast food, and others. The procession also displayed Assamies Dance, Rajasthani, Marathi, Bangal, Japanese and others. Unexpectedly, some Tripura Govt Depts to Schools to Public celebrating Netaji Birthday as 120th Anniversary but actually its 119th birth anniversary as he was born on 1897. People from all across the State crowded in both the sides of the road to have a glance of the procession. Children along with the youth and adults observed crowded in the capital.

It is to be mentioned here that a total fund of Rs. 1,10, 000 has been allotted to the school from the administration and a total of Rs. 60, 000 funds has been allotted by the School Education Department. 

The programme was inaugurated Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty and others.

On the day, strict vigilance of traffic has been observed in the capital during the procession hour.

Indian nationalist Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23rd of January in the year 1897 in the Cuttack, Orissa Division of Bengal Province.

Between 1920s and 1930s, he was a leader of the Indian National Congress and became the Congress President from 1938-1939. Later he was expelled from the Congress in the year 1939 and sited under the house arrest by the British.

He was famous by the title Netaji.

On the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, altogether 100 files on the freedom fighter which has been not classified yet has been put to the public domain by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
