AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): To showcase and promote the strengths, efficacy and affordability of the Ayush systems of medicine, a three-day long health fair 'AROGYA 2016' has been organized on Friday at Nazrul Kalashetra.
With the joint initiatives of the Department of AYUSH, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Health and Family Welfare Department of Tripura and Indian Chamber of Commerce, a State Arogya Fair has been organized.
The programme was inaugurated by Minister for Health & Family Welfare Badal Choudhury in the presence Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Prafullajit Sinha, Deputy Secretary of AYUSH Ramanand Meena, Principal Secretary of Health Department Nagaraju Maddirala and others.
The health fair is aimed at spreading awareness and integrates Ayush with the mainstream healthcare delivery structure.
During the programme, the exhibitors like Aasray Concept Foods, Acupressure Health Care System, Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Cura Pharmaceuticals, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Dhalai District of Tripura, Sr. JRK’S Siddha Research and Pharmaceuticals Pvt ltd, Institute of Yoga and Nutrition Science, Multani Pharmaceutical Limited and others.
The Health fair is expected to attract people from all across the capital if possible than the people of the interior parts of the State interested in the traditional knowledge systems of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH) and the therapeutic effects of Yoga which is globally known as a drugless therapy system.
However, the fair focuses to highlight the advancements in clinical practices, research and documentation, manufacturing and the processes involved in the Ayush systems of medicine which includes Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.​
