KALYANPUR Jan 22 (TIWN) At Ghilatali Panchayet under Kalyanpur Block work of a 2 km long water canal in favor of cultivators which had been started 5 years ago and been inaugurated on Friday.
The dream became true of all the local cultivators of Kalyanpur as their demand has been fulfilled at last.
The project cost is around Rs.2.5 crore INR.
Nearly 400 local cultivators will be benefited from this water canal.
In the past the cultivators faced lots of problems due to the lack of water in this place and that’s why there were demanding a alternative water source at their area but the state government didn’t take any step.
However it was 5 years ago, that state government started this 2 km long water canal construction work but its take these long years to complete; in addition it’s a Central Government project.
The Central Government had issued total Rs. 96 crore INR to the State Government in the year 1982 to developed a alternative water sanitation system in this area to help the cultivators but the state government had failed to finished the project in allotted time.
However, now after getting this water canal all the local people are very happy. Their demands have been fulfilled after a long time.
