Village Council Election: Left Front declared its candidature for the ensuing election at Kamalpur

KAMALPUR, Jan 22 (TIWN): Keeping it up with the tradition of the organizational strength and political foreseeing, the CPI-M led Left Front declared its candidature for the 124 seats of 16 village councils of this sub-division regarding the ensuing village council election. The Left Front declared its candidature this morning at the press meet held at CPI-M Divisional Party Office at Manikbhander.

In the sub-division, there remained 16 village councils with 70 wards and 124 seats. Among those, 10 village councils remained under the jurisdiction of Salema RD Block and rest 6 remained under the jurisdiction of the Durgachowmuhani RD Block. 

The Left Front declared the candidature for all the 124 seats. Among those seats, CPI-M would contest for119 seats, CPI would contest for 03 seats, RSP would contest for 01 seat and Forward Bloc would contest for 01 seat. The leadership also clarified that, among those 124 contestant, 108 got nominated from ST category, 12 from SC category and 04 from UR category. 25 candidates got nominated from the last term and rest remained new. Among the candidates 54 women got nominated. CPI-M sub-divisional Secretary Anjan Das, veteran CPI-M leader Kamal Kar, CPI leader Sandhya Rani Debbarma and others remained present in the meet.

While replying about the propaganda of the party, Anjan Das replied that, development would be the only issue. And the devastated condition of the opposition parties made him to hope that, they would grab an opposition less victory in comparison of the last term’s 20 seats won by the opposition
