AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the upcoming celebration of the 120th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan to organize huge procession on January 23.
Speaking in a press conference, Amulya Chandra Debnath at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, Head Master said that this year there theme will be on Save the Tiger and Education.
Mentioning about the budget of the celebration, he said that from the administration a total of fund of Rs. 1, 10, 000 has been allotted to the school. Besides, from the School Education Department altogether Rs. 60, 000 funds has been allotted.
Besides, the procession will include 26 demonstrations where six will be from outside the school.
Further, he also mentioned that on the day of the celebration the student will be assembled at the school premises at 8 am in the morning. It is expected that Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty will host the flag at 8:40 am. Besides, the procession will initiate from morning 9:15 am.
Subhash Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist and famous by the title Netaji, born on 23rd of January in the year 1897 in the Cuttack, Orissa Division of Bengal Province.
Between 1920s and 1930s, he was a leader of the Indian National Congress and became the Congress President from 1938-1939. Later he was expelled from the Congress in the year 1939 and sited under the house arrest by the British.
This day has a different essence for this city. There is a state holiday on this day and people with enthusiasm look forward for the upcoming events of this day.
Besides, every Government and non-Government organization observes the day with great enthusiasm.
Besides, huge crowd used to be observed to see the colourful procession organized by the Netaji Subhas Vidya Niketan. Students of most of the classes participate in the procession.
