AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): The continuous demand of the Twipra land is due to the deprivation of the tribal’s under the long regime of the CM Manik Sarkar in the state, said the BJP new party president Biplab Deb. Talking to TIWN correspondent on Saturday, BJP new president Biplab Deb said that The Indigenous People's Front of Twipra (IPFT) has been demanding for a separate tribal land in the name of 'Twipra Land' for past many years and this demand is the outcome of the continuous deprivation of the tribal under the regime of the CM Manik Sarkar in the state. This demand of Twipra land did not pop up as an effect of one day game, series of deprivation under the regime of the left front government result the tribal’s to come up with the demand of the Twipra land. Though I do not support the demand of Twipra land but the dirty role of ruling Left front govt. has become a reason for the section of tribal people in the ADC to demand for separate state, stated BJP president Biplab Deb. The ruling Left front govt. should have to shoulder the unworthy demand for separate state raised by the IPFT, because it is the left front govt. under whose regime the ADC has been deprived at large and has ultimately led the IPFT with a section of tribal youths demanding for the separate state for them.

Ahead of the Village committee election the party has decided to reach out people, especially the tribal’s, over the ‘divisive agitation that would destroy peace and encourage extremist elements’. “IPFT is a mask of the extremists. The demand for a separate state is aimed at creating fresh trouble in the peaceful state”, claimed Deb.

He further said that there are many central schemes launched for the welfare of the tribal section of the society, however, due to years of deprivation by the left front government has provoked to pop up the demand of the Twipra land.  Years after years left front has-been continuously exploiting the tribal section of the society and has kept themselves deprived from their demands.

Tribals in Tripura are deprived in many vital segments and the ruling party is continuously exploiting the sentiment of the tribal’s.

IPFT which is known as a hardliner party and often blamed for its alleged soft stance on extremist movements is clearly trying to woo the tribal society after years of political isolation.

However, BJP will try to reach to the people and help them to avail the benefits of the central scheme launched for the welfare of the people, added Biplab Deb.
