Congress to call for 12-hour strike in three districts on Jan 18

AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Raising voice against the rising corruption at the block level, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee to stage 12-hour long strike in three districts on January 18, said PCC President Birajit Sinha on Tuesday.

Addressing a Press Conference at Congress Bhawan, PCC President said that the Committee is going to stage 12-hour long strike in three districts which include Unakoti, Dhalai and North District.

It has been mentioned that demanding to establish railway division at Dharmanagar, to extend the area of the Kailashahar Airport for the betterment of the people, to continue the service at the Kamalpur Airport, to establish new block at Fatikrai, to set up fire extinguisher at Chailangta.

Speaking at Congress Bhawan on Tuesday, Sinha said that the party demanded for a specialist doctor at Chailengta Sub-division hospital, to work on water sanitation in the National Highway of Ambassa city.

The 20 charter of demands also includes- to provide land to the families to urged for land under Forest Act, also to construct houses for the beneficiary families under IAY, to take initiatives for the families who had invested their money in chit fund companies and lost, to set CBI investigation over the prolonged embezzlement of crores of fund at block level in the name of development.

Besides, the demands also include to take strict initiatives to curb growing domestic violence and crime against women. Besides, many other demands have been placed.

However, keeping eye on the upcoming village committee election, TPCC is all set to raise voice against the rising embezzlement.

Earlier in a meeting, the party leader has mentioned that they will fight together against the ruling Government and will successfully remove the Left Rule from the state.

Besides, in every step they will raise protest against the Left Rule Government and its misrule in the state.

It has been mentioned that the members should forget all kind of difference among themselves and to move forward to strengthen the party.

The party should always be there with the people and should always think about the betterment of the people.

The main aim of the party should be the victory of the Congress party. The state government is dipped into corruption. The victory of Congress would surely be a lesson to them.
