AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): In a tragic incident, body of a couple was recovered from a rubber garden in a hanging condition from Dhuptali area under Kakraban police station on Tuesday morning.

The deceased are identified as Purnajoy Reang and Sasanti and both of them are at their teenage.

On Tuesday early morning when the localites were passing by the rubber garden saw the body in a hanging condition and immediately informed the kakraban police.

Getting alarm the kakraban reached the spot and recovered the body in a hanging condition from a tree inside the rubber garden.

The police further said that both the deceased were relatives and were also engaged in love affair but the family members denied to accept their relationship and isolated them from the family.

Failing to convince the families, the youths committed suicide.

Police further confirmed that it is complete case of suicide and there is no other allegation involved in the case.

The localities said that the family member did not accept their relationship and unfortunately they decided to kill themselves and hanged themselves in the tree at rubber garden.

Police said that the body was recovered in hanging condition and was sent for post-mortem and the body of the deceased were handed over to the family members after postrmortem.

Kakrabon police official also visited the spot and carried out the proper investigation in the area.

Primary investigation says that as the couple was isolated by the family they broke down emotionally and attempted suicide to kill themselves, said police personnel.

However, Kakraban Police is further investigating the case.
