Construction work of the 22 kilometre road from Udaipur to Melagarh is in progress

UDAIPUR, Jan 12 (TIWN): Construction of the 22 kilometre of the road from Udaipur to Melagarh petrol pump is underway in full swing.

Reportedly, the workers are busy in the construction from Udaipur to Kakrabon. Trees are chopped down and stones are placed as a part of the construction work.

According to the reports, altogether Rs. 110 crores has been allotted for the construction work of the 22 kilometre of the road.

Detailing about the budget, it has been mentioned that for every one kilometre rupees one crore has been allotted.

Reportedly, the construction work of the road has begun around 5 months ago and the target of the completion of the work is of one and half year.

Locals stated that if the construction work does not face any embezzlement than it is expected that the road will be of good quality.

Besides, they also mentioned that the construction agency is expected to maintain a good quality work.

However, they also mentioned that the road will help to increase the communication system in the area.

The locals also mentioned that the road is also expanded which is beneficial for them.

On the hand, the expansion work of the Udaipur – Sabroom is also going on in full-fledge. Recently, double lane expansion work for NH44 is going on in full swing at Santirbazar- Matabari area. The expansion work is almost completed and is under progress at Santirbazar- Matabari area.

It is to be mentioned here that the source has so far claimed that the work will be completed by June and it will be ready to run vehicles in the double lane.

The sources also said that if the dry season continues it will be able to complete the work in the given time.

And with the completion of the work in the given time, it will also be possible to run the vehicles in the road.

The 128 km long Agartala – Sabroom NH -44 is scheduled to be widened in two phases. Phase-I, which is around 55 km, is Agartala – Udaipur and remaining 73 km categorized as Phase II is Udaipur – Sabroom.

The Agartala-Sabroom road would be double lane having width of 10-meter excluding pavement. The 73 km Udaipur-Sabroom road will require Rs. 450 crores while 48-km Agartala-Udaipur road will need Rs. 462 crores to get double lane.
