Tourist visitors high in Trishna tourism spot : Destruction of forest a real threat

BELONIA, Jan 11 (TIWN) : Trishna is not only pride of the state but also for the entire Northeast in tourism industry. Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for housing rare species of animal- Bisons could be one of the ideal eco tourism designations in the state.

 This month tourist visited Trishna more than expected. Trishna is becoming the best Natural Picnic spot nowadays mainly in the holidays.

 “Life is not all about having food and taking good sleep. If you want to remain fresh, you need to visit eco tourism spots like Trishna”, Once Forest Minsiter Jitendra Choudhry said. Trishna is not safe haven for bison it also houses 150 species of birds, 7- 8 species of snakes and 40-50 species of butterflies. This kind of varieties of animals is rare in the Northeast. The vegetation of the sanctuary comprises of four sorts of forest– the tropical semi-evergreen forest, the east Himalayan Bhanar sal, Moist blended deciduous woods and the Savanah forest. Bison is the primary attraction in this sanctuary, also the inhabitant and migratory birds. It could easily become a hot eco tourism spot in the state.

Lots of developments have been taken place in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary since 1988. Not only domestic tourists, tourists from outside the state also visit the unique wildlife sanctuary to taste the eco tourism flavor. More over the possibility of eco tourism could be beneficial for the villagers living in and around the Trishna Wildlife Sanctury. However, over the destruction of forest wealth which could pose a real threat for ecological balance in the state.
