KAILASHAHAR, January 10 (TIWN): DIG of Northern Range on Sunday visited the Kailashahar Paitur Bazaar and interrogated about the riot occurred over the incident of collision of vehicles on January 9.

Reportedly, DIG of Northern Range Khatrajoy Reang along with other officials on Sunday visited the area and interrogated about the incident.

Besides, a review meeting was also been organized to discuss about the incident and to identify the miscreants who was involved in the riot.

According to the police report, few more miscreants were identified who were found involved in the riot.

Though there are no reports of any new arrest but the police are in search of the identified individuals who were involved in the riot.

However, the three arrested accused will be produced before the CJM court on Sunday with accusation of assembling in the area unlawfully and to participating over creating riot in the area.

The arrestees are Salek Mia Khadem, Nazrul Islam, Rubel Ali.

To keep strict vigilance in the area, TSR were deployed and besides, further investigations are going on.

Reportedly, the incident took place after an auto and a Alto vehicle got collided and the drivers of the vehicles broke in to quarrel.

At the incident, the alto car got damaged partially.

After quarrelling for some time the drivers got engaged in scuffle. Later, when huge crowd got assembled, the locals of the area also jumped into the conflict and it took the shape of riot.

Later, the issue has been raised so high that around 40 supporters from both the sides of auto driver and vehicle driver got engaged in scuffle.

Around two people were admitted at the Kailashahar Hospital.

Getting alarm of the incident, Kailashahar Police and TSR rushed to the spot and tried to bring the scuffle under control. Besides, getting no other option the security personnel used water canon to stop the scuffle.

Police Super Jalsingh Mina, Additional SP, OC Subrata Chakraborty, along with other officials and troops rushed to the spot.

However, police is further investigating the case and are preparing to arrest the rest of the culprits.
