AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): The much talked BJP’s organisational election for the chair of new president is being captured by Biplab Deb.

Talking to TIWN correspondent on Wednesday, ex-president Sudindra Dasgupta said that the post of state party president is being rewarded to Biplab Deb as favoured by the party's central leadership in presence of BJP's central leader Suresh Pujari on Wednesday.

The election procedure began at 1PM in the afternoon at BJP party office located at Krishnanagar amidst tight security. A huge police force has been deployed in the BJP office to control any untoward incident.

It is to be mentioned here that BJP Mahajan sampark observer Biplab Deb is appointed as the new president of the party.

Biplab Deb is the new president of the party because he carries lots of weight following his prolonged stay in Delhi. But he will resume office from next week as the new president of the state BJP wing.

Sources added that, BJP will fight the next assembly polls under the leadership of Biplab Deb. The source informed that the party got a RSS trained Biplab Deb who was born in Udaipur and has been educated from Delhi.

However, it is to be mentioned here that in the Tripura municipal election BJP managed to win only 4 seats in Tripura out of 310 seats. To save the name they have managed to gain two seats Dharmamnagar and two in Kumarghat. The BJP has suffered a major shock with such a fall in the election result. And if everything falls in place the next election will be held under the leadership of Biplab Deb. 

It is to be mentioned here that The party's central leadership was determined to replace incumbent state president Sudindra Dasgupta with an RSS-trained leader.

A senior RSS functionary, currently touring the interiors of Tripura, said on condition of anonymity that Biplab Deb, 42, an RSS-trained political activist who is currently based in Delhi, took over charge as the state president.

He originally belongs to Tripura and was born in Udaipur but he spent many years under RSS care outside his home state. Deb has a lot of political experience and had worked as personal assistant to former NDA minister and MP from Jamshedpur Rita Verma. He will be at the helm of state BJP in Tripura from now on.
