KAILASHAHAR, Jan 6 (TIWN): Although Tripura is getting one after one awards, especially for RD Dept.’s developmental works, but in reality the villages in various sub-divisions are deprived of all the facilities. Tripura CM Manik Sarkar although cries for central funds for the sake of developmental works, but the funds are never used properly in so called developmental works. One such example is the daily lives of Kailashahar’s Chantail Panchayat’s No 6 ward, where people have to cross their way by a half-broken bamboo made bridge.
Although in this 21st century Tripura Chief Minister Manik Srakar promised to make smart cities & smart villages, but for the people of that village that bamboo-bridge is the reality when it comes to their transportization.
According to the reports, local people had asked many times the authorities to improve their daily used road-way, but all these are in vain as the authorities had turned their deaf & blind eyes.
The village Chantail is located near Chandipur block. The people of Chandipur, used to walk by such pathetic ways. Moreover, that area also doesn’t have any cemented road-way. All they used to walk by pathetic muddy ways.
Moreover, as there is no alternative way, there remain risks at emergency times too. Locals alleged that if sometimes fire breaks out in village, the Fire brigade vehicle can not even come as there is no way to pass the vehicles, except this bamboo-bridge.
Moreover, many accidents took place in that area due to the dilapidated condition of the bridge. But the authority has no concern about it.
Including the common people, school children all these have been victimized due to that bridge. Many people reportedly fall down many times. In rainy season the condition gets worst.
The local people have recently demanded for the renovation of the bridge as fast as possible and to turn it into plastered or wooden bridge. Otherwise, they are going to gheraou the office of BDO, said locals.
