AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Demanding the arrest of the expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee in next 72 hours, representatives of State BJP from eight different districts placed deputation to DG K.Nagraj through the eight SP of the several districts on Monday at police Headquarter.

Talking to TIWN correspondent , BJP state president Sudindra Dasgupta said that demanding the arrest of the expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee in allegation of sexual; abuse of a minor the state BJP wings have placed deputation of DG K.Nagraj.

He also said that even after passage of several days, the Tripura police is yet to arrest the former CPM MLA Manoranjan Acharjee for his alleged involvement in a sexual abuse case of a minor girl and allegedly police is making intentional delay in the case.

Demanding the arrest of the accused he also said that if expelled Manoranjan is not arrested in next 72 hours they will stage massive protest in the state and the state government will be blamed for intentionally hushing up this case.

It is to be mentioned here that almost after month of the scam came into limelight, the main accused former CPM MLA Manoranjan Acharjee is yet roaming free and no action is taken against him as per the guidelines of law.

Although Amarpur police have lodged a suo moto case against expelled CPI (M) MLA Manoranjan Acharjee with charges of molestation of a minor girl in his party office.

It is mention here that the gruesome incident took place on Nov 27 and intentionally the ruling party big heads hush up the matter and remain silent in the issue.

Although the Mother of a five and half year old girl has submitted separate written complaints to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and CPM party secretary Bijan Dhar before the election but the party remained silent over the issue. In the letter, the mother and her father alleged that MLA Manoranjan Acharjee had sexually abused her girl who used to visit him quite often.

BJP raised question why police is silent even after lodging complaint against him. Is it a policy to save him from the legal punishment of the law, question prevails.

It is worthy to mention here that police has lodged complaint against expelled MLA Manoranjan under section 354 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and protection of children from sexual abuse act, police is yet to arrest him.

BJP demanded the arrest of the accused in next 72 hours or else they will stage massive protest in the state in the coming days.
