AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): To mark the observance of Police Week- 2016, Mega Traffic Awareness Camp has been organized on Monday at Radhanagar.
It has been mentioned that though the officials and the people maintain the traffic rules.
The participants were urged to follow the traffic rules which would help to curb down the rising accidents in the State.
Besides, the participants were also urged to wear helmet and to wear belt to during car drive.
The program will also focus on risks of driving by minors, which is increasing in State.
Besides, it is to be mentioned here that lack of parking places in various parts of the State and negligence of the public have led to a spurt in accident related cases in the capital city Agartala and other parts here in Tripura.
Day by day the towns are expanding at a fast pace but the authority is least bothered to establish parking zones in the major parts of the State.
Recently the construction work of the flyover has been a major cause for the traffic congestion. Besides, reckless driving on the road leads to accident and cause of death by injury.
The city had witnessed a rise in vehicular traffic and there have also been instances of underage drivers driving rashly. This posed a great risk with the reckless driving and the negligence of traffic rues not only dangerous for the driver’s own lives but also to others.
During the programme, Traffic SP Sriti Rajan Das, DSP Traffic Banuj Biplab, ASP Lucky Chauhan NCP SDPO and other were present.
