AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): Despite the authority claims that the crime rate has decreased in the State, on yet another bizarre incident body of two unidentified bodies have been recovered on Saturday from the embankment of Howrah River near to the Jirania SDM office.
According the Police report, the bodies recovered from the embankment of Howrah River near to the Jirania SDM office is of a male and a female but their identity is yet unknown.
Both the bodies were recovered from a jute sack.
Police sources suspected that the bodies are of labours who have been working as labour at the Brick Industry at Radhapur.
The bodies are first found by the locals and informed the police. Getting alarm of the incident, Jirania police and Radhapur police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
However, Police of both the areas are still investigating the spot.
It is to be mentioned here that the area falls in between Jirania and Radhapur. Therefore, police of both the area rushed to the spot.
However, the reports of the unidentified dead bodies have become a daily feed for the news papers and the channels in the State.
The State has become a hub of crimes where one after other day heinous incident related to murder is reported from every corner and police is simply playing the role silent spectator.
It is to be mentioned here that infant bodies has also become rampant in various area in the capital and in the interior parts of the state.
Bodies of several persons who have been killed are thrown on roads, drains, railway tracks and secluded areas and they are unidentified.
