AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): A house made of tin reduced to cinders when a sudden fire broke out in the house on Wednesday morning at Joynagar road no. - 6, Netaji Lane.
Reportedly, the residents are safe. According to the report of the police, during the incident only the owner’s mother was present in the house.
The old woman in her statement said that she switched off the gas cylinder and went to washroom when this incident happened.
However, according to the police report the fire broke out at the house owing to short circuit.
Altogether two fire engines rushed to the spot and the fire has been brought under control.
The name of the owner is Ashish Roy; he was not at home after he returns than only the actual loss in the fire can be reported.
However, when the fire broke out in the house no one was there in the house only the mother of the owner was there, who also busy in the washroom.
Getting alarm of the incident police and the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control though the fire had reduced the house in to ash.
When the old woman asked about the incident could not say anything about how the fire broke in to the house. Besides, she mentioned that the switch of the gas cylinder was put off so there is no chance of gas leak.
However, police is investigating the area and trying to find more clues.
