SABROOM, Dec 28 (TIWN): Public Education Day has been observed at Rupaichari RD Block.

Like other places across the state, in Rupaichari RD Block the  Public Education Day has been organized by the GMP on Monday.

The programme was inaugurated by the local secretary through lighting up the lamp. 

There were so many cultural , sports events performed by the school students. 

It's to be mentioned here that on 28^th December 1945 in the leadership of Tripura’s former CM Dasarath Debbarma one movement was generated, centering the right of public education.

From that day since today every year Public Education day has been organized by the GMP( Gana Mukti Parishadh) on Dec 28.
