AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Manik’s led Tripura Government where claims that there is no corruption in the State, almost one year has passed, yet the Tripura Police could not arrest the accused 17 doctors alleged for embezzling of cores of money in NHM scam. Even after the passage of months of the case was brought into focus and the FIR was lodged against 17 NHM officials, but the police is yet silent in bringing any development in the process of the investigation. It is to be mentioned here that NHM Mission Director Dr. Sandeep N Mahatme has lodged complaint against the doctors but so far no action is taken against the accused.FIR is filed against 12 Medical officials of North District CMO office and 5 Medical officials of Unakoti District CMO office including Former CMO Unakoti Dr. Dilip Das, Present CMO Dr Alak Dewan, Dr Subhas Barua, Dr. S.N. Chaudhury, Dr. Debashis Talapatra. Months back FIR was lodged but so far no action is taken to nab them and the accused are roaming free.It seems like Tripura Police is least bothered about the need of the immediate of the accused roams around free. Allegation has been raised that the delay is being done intentionally with an aim to save the prime accused. Earlier talking to TIWN, PPC President Birajit Sinha said that months back FIR was lodged but so far no action is taken to nab them and the accused are roaming free.

Although the department has completed the documentation but police is silent over the issue.

The prolonged delays in the case and the loopholes in the case are saving the accused involved in the scam.

It is to be mentioned here that NHM Mission Director Dr. Sandeep N Mahatme has lodged complaint against the doctors but so far no action is taken against the accused.

At present the case is completely with the police but no initiatives are being taken to make any progress in the case.

However, the prolonged raises question that why the police is playing a role of silent spectators? Is there anyone else involved in the case for with the Tripura Government and the police are mum over the case.
