KAMALPUR, Dec 22 (TIWN): The work and work culture of PWD(R&B) Kamalpur division came under the scanner for utter chaos time and again. In every work, corruption, embezzlement and lack of planning has hit the road-way. But after repeated knocking, the authority remained reluctant so-much that, the department started to move at the will of the contractors.

And such a work stranded the movement for almost half an hour on Kamalpur-Ambassa road at around 10-30 am at Salema this morning. The kamalpur-Ambassa road at Salema near the Agricultural Sector Office had started to be widened. For this the road side highlands got being leveled. Trees got being uprooted. As the contractor conducted the work at any time of his will, hence the local people had to suffer due to dust in this winter. Further, the trees got uprooted at any moment. In such a task, a tree got uprooted at around 10-30 am. As the tree fell on the Kamalpur-Ambassa road, hence the vehicle stranded on both sides. At this pick hour when office goers and students including the commoners had a rush to reach their destination, then the movement stranded for almost half an hour causing great problem to all. And what remained more astonishing was that, no official from the part of PWD(R&B) was seen there.

Local people and commuters expressed their view that, such works pausing the movement should better be done at morning or at late noon.
