AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN) : Total 2,067 candidates appeared for the first-ever Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination conducted to fill up 6,000 odd vacant posts of teachers at the elementary level in Tripura, officials here said on Tuesday.

They said the examination was conducted on Monday in all eight districts of the state.

Out of the total 2,067 candidates, 306 appeared for undergraduate level and 1,761 for graduate level.
