Five injured in separate incidents

KALYANPUR, Dec 18 (TIWN): In a five separate incidents five individuals from different parts of the state have been injured and are being undergoing treatment in various hospitals of Tripura.

Reportedly, a 58-year old man namely Chachindra Chandra Debnath has been injured when a bike rider dashed him from the back at Teliamura-Khowai road in front of Kalyanpur Block Office. At present he is undergoing treatment at Kalyanpur Hospital.

In another two incidents, 15-year old Rahul Paul has been injured in a road accident at Kunjaban Village and Pradip Debnath (38) has been injured in road accident. Both of them were referred to GBP Hospital.

However, in another two separate incidents, two individuals were injured in short circuit. Namely Isha Das (12) and Amlan Majumder (14) two minors have been injured in short circuit.

The numbers of road mishaps are alarmingly increased in the state for last few months but the traffic police department is surprisingly playing silent role instead of taking proper initiatives over the road accident issues. 

Though, the number of vehicles increased in Tripura, but the road status in terms of widening and bigger lining is remained same as it was earlier. Moreover, rush and reckless driving, overloading by the passenger carrying vehicles, insufficient knowledge of traffic rules and regulations often cause road mishaps in the different parts of the state.

However, the increasing number of road accident prevails terror among the public and the rush and reckless driving and deplorable condition of road are mostly the reason behind several road accidents, says locals.
