Cinedelve film society holds press meet, Agartala Film Festival to begin from December 25

AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to inaugurate the 20th film festival of Agartala at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on December 25.

The 20th Agartala Film Festival to begin from December 25 at the Rabindra Centenary hall in Agartala. Altogether 23 films from across the globe will be screened at the weeklong festival organized by the film society Cinedelve.

The organizers viewed that film is one of the strongest medium in today’s world and it not only just reflects the society but also plays a vital role in moulding it.

Addressing the press meet at Press club the general secretary of Cinedelve film society, Abhijit Chakraborty said that CM Manik Sarkar will inaugurate the 20th film festival at Agartala on December 25.

He also said that the festival would not only quench the thirst of the film lovers with the latest trend of world cinema but will also give a platform to the budding film makers of the state to show their productions.

He further said that altogether 23 films will be screened in different language including Hindi, Bengali, Spanish and other.  

Highly inspired from such festival at present, a good number of youths are not only watching good movies from the state but are also involved in making them, added Chakraborty.

In this process the Agartala Film Festival is lending a helping hand by giving a platform to show their films in this film festival.

Every year the festival is organised from 25th to 31st December and this festival is a platform to show the talent of the people in this field in the state.

It is a great opportunity for the film lovers of Tripura as Cinedelve is again back to host the 20th film festival in Tripura.
