Tripura police finally lodged complaint against the expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee

AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): With pressure from different sections of the society the Tripura, police finally lodged a complaint against expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee in allegation of sexually abusing a minor at Amarpur party office.After passage of several days of the gruesome activity with the expelled CPI-M MLA Manoranjan Acharjee, the Amarpur police on Wednesday lodged a complaint against him in allegation of sexually abusing a minor on November 27.It is to be mentioned here that police by its own will has lodged the complaint against the accused and is scheduled to take action against him as per the guidelines of law. However, on Wednesday police lodged complaint against him and will take the necessary actions.CPI-M has kicked off its one MLA of Amarpur Assembly segment Manoranjan Acharjee on charge of moral error. It is to be mentioned here that the gruesome incident took place on Nov 27 and intentionally the ruling party big heads hush up the matter and remain silent on that issue. Interestingly, the party has not given a chance to Acharjee to clarify his stand on the allegations leveled against him. Although the Mother of a five and half year old girl has submitted separate written complaints to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and CPI-M party secretary Bijan Dhar before the election, but the party remained silent over the issue.

Although the party has expelled him but no police complaint was lodged against him, till Wednesday. 

In the letter, the mother and her father alleged that MLA Manoranjan Acharjee had sexually abused her girl who used to visit him quite often.

CPI-M legislator Manoranjan Acharjee has resigned from the Tripura assembly after the party expelled him on charges of wrongdoing.  Although, Acharjee has denied the charges raised against him.

The gruesome incident took place on Nov 27 and intentionally the ruling party big heads hush up the matter and remained silent on the issue. 

The ruling party claims that earliest possible action' has been taken against Acharjee after receiving the allegation but the hidden truth is that the party has carried out their action keeping their good name alive and did not lodged any police complaint against him.

However, now time will say what action does police takes against the accused MLA as per the law.

It is to be mentioned here that the opposition party along with Bharatiya Janta Party of Tripura on Tuesday placed deputation to DG K. Nagaraj, demanding to take strict action against CPM MLA Manoranjan Acharjee who has been recently expelled from the party on moral error ground.

Finally with the pressure from different section of the society police finally lodged complaints against the expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee and now time will say what action police will take against the accused.
