SARBOOM, Dec 10 (TIWN): IPFT workers were busy in a meeting regarding the ‘December 16 -Hill Bandh’ at Bagmara ADC village in Sabroom Sub Division last night when all on a sudden, a group of 20-25 of CPI(M) cadres attacked them with lathi, sharp-cutting weapons etc.

A total of 5 Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) leaders were injured badly by ruling Left Front cadres.

Three injured were admitted at GBP Hospital in Agartala .They were Nagendra Tripura928),Maniram Tripura(38),Subharam Tripura(30).

Other two were in Manu Bankul PHC for First Aid Treatment.An FIR was lodged against at least 12 CPI (M) cadres at Sabroom Police Station.

TSR Jawans were deployed as situation was tense. SP Bhanu Pada Chakraborty rushed to the spot as reported.
