AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): In order to ensure safe and peaceful election, District Magistrate of Unakoti District has imposed section 144 at the Unakoti District.
According to the rules of section 144, no party booths will be allowed to set up in an around 200 metre from the polling booths. Besides, more than five people cannot assemble within 200 metre area of polling booths.
Besides, police can conduct search in any vehicles of the area.
However, no scooter, bikes or any other vehicles will be allowed to run nearby the polling booths. The order will not be in active in outside the municipal area.
The section 144 has been imposed in the area from December 8 at 5 pm in the evening onwards.
However, aiming to maintain the Law and order in the State during the election tenure, all the liquor shops under Sepahijala District will remain close on December 8, 9 and 12.
