KAMALPUR, Dec 5 (TIWN): The dream of CPI-M to capture the power of Ambassa Municipal Council received a jolt after the distribution of leaflets by an organization “ Ambassa Banchao Nagarik Mancha” last night. This morning the leaflets containing allegations against the CPI-M district leadership for regionalism and patronizing Kulai depriving Ambassa was found scattered on the streets.

In this leaflet, the Committee alleged the CPI-M leaders for depriving Ambassa by every means. And the allegations indirectly hinted to the CPI-M District Secretary Pankaj Chakraborty who is known as highly corrupt among locales.

It got alleged that, the district level observations of Republic Day and Independence Day got shifted from Ambassa Chandraipara Class XII School ground to Kulai Class XII School ground. Besides, the setting up of District Hospital at Kulai, delay in the setting up of Ambassa sub divisional hospital, keeping the Municipal authority in dark about setting up of Sports Complex etc. indicated towards naked regionalism of the CPI-M leaders. Further, in the leaflet, the committee demanded that, if CPI-M would gain power of Corporation in the election, then Ambassa would lose its importance. In this connection, the Committee urged for awareness and logical steps from the people of Ambassa in the ensuing election. However, the CPI-M cadres collected and destroyed many leaflets, but already such leaflets were in the houses and pockets of people.

According to the political analysts, the leaflet and the “ Ambassa Banchao Committee” might be a result of the internal clash of CPI-M which made the present in-power Kulai based Pankaj Chakraborty group to sack the Ambassa based Ajoy Baidya group completely from candidature in the civic poll. And this leaflet might play a crucial role in the ensuing poll here.
