AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Much talked 10, 323 teachers jobs termination case further postponed to January 13 most probably or on January 17, said Minister for Education Tapan Chakraborty on Monday.Talking to TIWN correspondents Minister Tapan Chakraborty said that the hearing of the case has been postpone. Mentioning the date of the next hearing, Minister Chakraborty said that most provably that next date will be on January 13 or else on January 17. Besides, Minister also said that notice have to be sent to all the party which includes- Teacher, Opposition and the Government.A division bench of the Tripura High Court, comprising Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das, in its judgment May 7, 2014 terminated the jobs of 10,323 government school teachers citing discrimination and irregularities.Expressing hope for a positive judgement, Minister Chakraborty said that we are hoping that the recruited teachers will not have to depart from their job. However, after prolonged several months also the case has not been solved yet. Every time the case has been produced before the court, it gets delayed every time. The delay in the judgement leads to uncertainty over the fate of 10, 323 teachers.

The high court also asked the state government to put in place a fresh recruitment process by December 2014 and frame a new employment policy within two months. Tripura's Left Front government recruited 1,100 post-graduate and 4,617 graduate teachers in 2010 and 4,606 under-graduate teachers in December 2013.

The Tripura government has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the order of the High Court of Tripura, in which HC has cancelled the appointment of 10,323 teachers including post-graduate, graduate and under-graduate teachers.

However, uncertainty looms large over the fate of the 10,323 teachers as the fate of these teachers are stuck upon the judgement of the Supreme Court.

According to a report, the then Chief Secretary of Tripura and present Union Textile Secretary S K Panda and Principal Secretary (Education) Banamali Sinha are the main architects in providing job to the 10323 teachers without following the rule of law to make ruling CPI-M and Manik Sarkar happy.

However, the lust for earning huge amount of money and the utilization of power to provide job to the known face or the party supporters lead the fate of thousands of people in problem.
