AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): Hundreds of people travelling to Agartala from other district and vice versa have been badly hit by the sudden rise in bus fares.

As earlier there was train service from Agartala to Karimganj people took the facility of train. But with the suspension of the train, the people are bound to travel in other small vehicles including bus with high fares.

On one side railway service is suspended due to the Broad Gauge conversion and on the other side dilapidated condition of the NH-44 has left the no way to the dwellers of the Tripura to travel in bus and small vehicles by paying huge bus fares.

Bus service providers have hiked the fare by taking the chance of mega block conversion. As because of mega block many passengers are not able to travel by train. Some of the passengers have alleged that, as there are no other ways and they are bound to travel in the bus with high fare.

Taking the advantage of the period of crisis with NH44 and suspension of the railway service, the people of Tripura are the most sufferers and are left with no other option other than travelling in bus and other vehicles with high fare tickets.
