AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): Failing to get any fruitful response regarding the fulfilment of demand the All Tripura Petroleum dealers association (ATPDA) called for two days strike on 27 and 28th November.

Speaking in a press meet at Press club on Tuesday, Anil Kumar Saha president of ATPDA has said that the association have demanding to set up a laboratory to test the quality of the petrol in the state. However, so far apart from density test equipments there are nothing available in the state to check the quality of petrol.

So far the IOC authority has not taken any initiative to set up any laboratory for petrol quality testing, stated Anil Kumar Saha president of ATPDA.

He further stated that, until and unless testing kit is set up in all the petrol pumps of Tripura no sample of petrol can be taken for testing apart from the density test.

He also stated, IOC authority has been informed many times to provide advanced security lock and key system but other than assurance nothing is given from IOC as such.

It is to be mentioned here that until and unless oil companies install any further modern kit to each and every RO, the oil companies have to ascertain the quality of products by density test only said Anil Kumar Saha.

The association further demanded that Dharmanagar depot has to improve its infrastructure, manpower and communication skills.  Guwahati Betkuchi Terminal has to give load on priority basis for the interest of Tripura state, considering the distance and road condition of NH44.

As the authority has failed to fulfil the demand the association has called for two day strike for 48 hours and no purchase and neither any sale will be marked on those two days.
