Left front, Congress, BJP all the party has simply geared up for the election campaign to woo the voters ahead of municipal election.

The candidates have joined the election campaign in support of their party and trying hard to woo the voters.

In this slew of campaign, the candidates are witnessed busy in door to door campaign an appealing to the voters to vote for them in the election. The candidates are also organising public gathering and are appealing for votes. Every party is assuring for the development of the town would go on fast pace and assured that everyone would get the benefit of the public welfare schemes made for them.

Another opposition party- Trinamool Congress has been able to put up candidates only in 36 Wards of different civic bodies.

It is expected that the upcoming civic elections would certainly witness triangular fight in almost all civic bodies including prestigious Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC). Since there is no electoral understanding among the political parties, the stage is all set to draw a triangular electoral battle in the civic elections. The Congress has failed to field candidates in Amarpur Municipal Council due to very poor organization giving a vacuum to the BJP to improve hits show in the upcoming electoral battle. Not only Amarpur Municipal Council, the main opposition party could not put up candidates in six Wards of Kumarghat Municipal Council due to the same reason.

Reports said the Congress could not file any candidates in Jirania Nagar Panchayat elections and two Wards in Ranir Bazar Nagar Panchayat.

Political leaders from all parties in Tripura including Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, are campaigning vigorously in the ongoing Municipal elections.

The Left front leaders are on top in the campaigning list. The chief minister and ministers of the left front government have addressed rallies in Agartala. Besides, thousands of party workers and leaders are camping in adjacent areas.
