AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): For re-assurance, the construction agency is again conducting load test at Battala to check the grip of the sand for constructing the flyover. It is to be mentioned here that the agency is conducting the load test for the second time to check the grip of the soil. After the successful report of the soil test at Battala, cement casting for the pillar is going on in full swing at Battala. With the aim to meet the deadline for completing the fly over construction work is going on in speedy way.It is to be mentioned here that as Battala has an open space, the construction agency has chosen battala to begin with the cement casting work. A total of 65 pillars will be constructed for the first ever fly over which will connect from Drop gate to fire brigade chowmuhani.Once the cement casting for the first pillar at Battala gets complete the construction work will be expanded towards bordowali. However, as Battala has much bigger and wider space the workers are able to carry out the construction without much hampering to the traffic movement but as the construction is expanded towards Bordowali it has turned up traffic glitch in a day to day life.Iron frame structure for pillars is already set up with the help of steel and iron bars and cement concrete.

With the ongoing days, it can be assumed that very soon the people of Tripura will get the facility of the fly over in the state.

According to the section of city dwellers the fly over would be blessing for the people living in Agartala city, as the pupils can never be on time in their office or school due to the tremendous traffic issue. Mainly the Battala station, which have junction of more than four roads passing and connecting to a single road have been causing the maximum traffic jam.

The main motive of creating the Fly-Over Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problems arise in traffic system too.

The flyover, which would start from Drop Gate (Fire Service office), would touch Fire Brigade Chowmuhani via Battala. A subway of the fly over will be created up to Melarmath. As per the layout of the project, the Banayan tree and the temple at Battala will be remained untouched by the fly over.
