AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): All though the ministerial bench authority claims to have provided the best service to the people in the rural areas but till today it seems that people in rural areas are dying due to the lack of proper health service.

The rural health services in the state are far from satisfactory result though the state has vast primary health centres to meet the medical demand of the people. The Khumlung sub-division is facing a serious threat with poor medical service.

In addition the lack of facilities for children education is deterrent in getting good professionals in rural areas. The condition is pathetic in far flung areas of the state where almost 100% of serious cases are referred to district hospitals thus putting the patients and their families to inconvenience.

Therefore, the patients are forced to visit private clinics and spend more money for getting their medical tests done but certain facilities in the PHC can’t benefit people as there is no one to operate them. Besides, remaining non-functional the machines get spoiled.

The ADC areas are disease prone zone area and above that if the patient does not get proper health service than it may hamper the health of the common people. Along with malaria the people are exposed to various water borne diseases.

The government claims to have opened several PHCs but delivery of services is far from satisfactory results. Ultimately, patients are the sufferers who have to not only have to visit other health institutions, including private, but also shells out more money to get the timely medical facilities.

However, it becomes hectic for the poor people to shell out such a hefty amount of money for the health service and sometime they remains without any kind of health assistance.
