SABROOM, Nov 17 (TIWN): Free and responsible press day with National Press Day was celebrated on Monday at Sabroom Press Club.

National Press Day is observed on November 16 every year.

A program was organized by the Sabroom Press Club & ICA Department Sabroom at Sabroom Press Club . SDM Subash Ch Saha inaugurated the Program, SDPO Sabroom, BSF Commandant, Tarun Chakraborty Senior Journalist and other local Journalists were also present in the program. 

“It is the duty of the media to show a positive direction to the society. Hence, positivity of press is highly needed to make a better society,” stated SDM Subash Ch. Saha.

Stressing on the topic Journalism and Ethics, Senior Journalist Tarun Chakraborty  said, “The media not just only cover events and incidents, it also works to find the root cause of any irregularity or problem along with its solution. There shouldn’t be any political and corporate pressure on the press.”
