KAILASHAR, Nov 16 (TIWN): Three days after the declaration of the candidates of Pradesh Congress Committee, Kailashahar and Kumarghat District Congress Committee finally declared the candidates list for the ensuing civic poll.

Addressing the Press Conference at the Congress Bhawan of Kailashahar, PCC President Birajit Sinha declares that altogether 15 candidates has been selected for Kailashahar Municipal Council and 13 candidates for the wards of Kumarghat Municipal Council.

Announcing the names of the candidates, PCC President Birajit Sinha said that the candidates will fight against the rising corruption. Besides, he also expressed that this time the people will choose the Congress Party over the left front to end corruption.

Revealing about the corruption in the construction of road, Sinha mentioned that crores of rupees have been allotted for the construction of road but those was not used for the betterment of the people.

Fifteen candidates of Kailashahar District Congress Commitee nominated for contesting the on the ensuing poll are Rupa Noyatiya of ward no.- 1, Ashish Sengupta (ward no.- 2), Bilkish Jahan (ward no.- 3), Nitish Rajan Roy (ward no.- 4), Pinki Paul (ward no.- 5), Subrata Kumar Dey (ward no.- 6), Nirmal Malakar (ward no.- 7), Sadhana Malakar (ward no.- 8), Biplab Sinha (ward no.- 9), Sangita Choudhury Roy (ward no.- 10), Ajoy Dhar (ward no.- 11), Biplab Kumar Das (ward no.- 12), Manashi Dey (ward no.- 13), Shikha Malakar (ward no.- 14) and Ranashir Sinha (ward no.- 15).

Besides, Babli Das (ward no.- 1), Shikha Das (ward no.- 2), Rintu Lal Deb (ward no.- 3), Krishna Sinha (ward no.- 4), Churachand Sharma (ward no.- 5), Ramkumar Das (ward no.- 6), Namita Das Sutradhar (ward no.- 7), Kanchana Chakma (ward no.- 8), Anadi Chandra Roy (ward no.- 9), Pradip Chanda (ward no.- 10), Jyotish Das (ward no.- 11), Anita Das (ward no.- 12) and Bikash Das (ward no.- 13) were for the Kumarghat Municipal Council election.

It has to be mentioned here that the last date for making nomination would be on November 19 and the scrutiny will be done on the following day. However, the Last date for the withdrawal of the nomination would be on November 23.

However, the forthcoming civic poll will be conducted on December 9.
